Grey (L) and Alan, local dwellers, who live as squatters in an abandoned office building, watch a soccer match between Australia and the Netherlands in the centre of Sao Paulo, June 18, 2014. This building located in Sao Paulo downtown was abandoned for twelve years and occupied by squatters about two months ago. According to City Hall, there are some 400,000 people in need of stable housing, including some 4,000 families who are members of the Roofless Movement, and are squatting in abandoned or vacant buildings from apartment blocks to hotels in Sao Paulo, the largest city in South America.
